Simple Flat Bread
An easy to make flat bread that can be tweaked to include anything you like or simply left as it is...
Ingredients
- 300 g plain flour
- 50 g butter
- 175 ml milk
- 0.5 tsp salt
Instructions
- Slowly melt the butter in the milk
- Add salt to flour
- Add melted butter and milk
- Mix until a good dough
- Knead for around 2 minutes
- Cover with film and set aside for at least 30 mins
- Split into 4 and roll out
- (At this stage, add any olives, tomato, herbs etc required)
- Cook on a fairly hot pan for around a minute and a half each side
Notes
This bread stays fairly flexible. I like to add olives, gently roll them into the dough before cooking. Kneading helps but is not essential. The core of this recipe is simplicity.
