Simple Flat Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g plain flour
  • 50 g butter
  • 175 ml milk
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Slowly melt the butter in the milk
  • Add salt to flour
  • Add melted butter and milk
  • Mix until a good dough
  • Knead for around 2 minutes
  • Cover with film and set aside for at least 30 mins
  • Split into 4 and roll out
  • (At this stage, add any olives, tomato, herbs etc required)
  • Cook on a fairly hot pan for around a minute and a half each side

Notes

This bread stays fairly flexible. I like to add olives, gently roll them into the dough before cooking. Kneading helps but is not essential. The core of this recipe is simplicity.
