Golden Milk

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 cups milk dairy or plant-based
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom optional
  • pinch of nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until it starts to gently simmer.
  • Whisk in the turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, and ginger until well combined.
  • Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 3-5 minutes, whisking occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup to taste, if using.
  • Strain through a fine-mesh sieve if desired for a smoother texture.
  • Serve warm in mugs and enjoy immediately.
